  Achievements    
       
 
1.In September 2007 Tanya Banerjee and Monika Singh of Std. X qualified at the national level after achieving the first position at the State level and Zonal level of the inter school Frank Memorial Debate Competition. Uma Pal of Std. X secured the first position at the Regional.
2.On 30th September 2007, a group of students of Carmel School went to Gandhi Sewa Sadan for debate, essay writing and painting competition. Carmel school bagged maximum number of prizes in all the three categories.
3.Ruchita Robinson of XII Science got the overall best reviewer for the film ‘My Fair Lady’ and Archana Sinha of XII Science got the best reviewer for the film ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’.
4.On 22nd September 2007, Aparajita Singh of Std. X and Shubha Hazra of IX won the third position in the Inter School Kirsch Memorial Science Quiz.
5. In 2007, Dainik Jagaran, a leading local newspaper had organized an essay competition in which Priyanka Kumari and Sabah Hussain won the 1st and 2nd position
6.In the Inter school Speech and Elocution Competition organized by the Rotary Club of Dhanbad, Ruchita Robinson of XII science bagged the 1st prize in extempore, Ritika Ganguly of class VII and Surubhi of class VI secured the 2nd position in the Elocution.
7. In the Hindi Debate organized by the Marwari Mahila Samiti, Sabah Hussain and Pallavi Singh of  Std. X won the best speaker award for and against the motion.
 
8. Tanushree Kundu – 2005 batch was adjudged the best essay writer in the Albert Barrow essay competition held in the national level.
 
9.Mourvi Kumari (2004 batch), Poonam Thacker (2005 batch), and Anvita Poonam (2006 batch) represented the school and district at the ICSE National level Athletics’ competition. Priyanka Kumari and Shilpi Ray of XI science represented the school and district at the ICSE State level Athletics’ competition.
