An excursion to Bokaro Thermal by Mother Theodosia and Avila Community in June 1954 sparked the inspiration for a school there. During their stay at the ladies club, Mr. Laheri, the managing engineer of the Thermal plant, approached Mother Theodosia requesting her to start an English Medium school at Bokaro for the children of the D.V.C. employees. This request was favoured by Mother Sylvia the then Superior General.

Twice a year, after the first and second term examinations all the parents meet the principal and the respective teachers. They discuss the progress of their wards, accept suggestions as well as give suggestions to the teachers concerned.
In the Nationwide interactive Science Olympiad 2007 tests were conducted in January 2007 by the Eduhel New Delhi. Sidhartha Maitra of Class III A and Ananya Banerjee of Class V won the school and State Rank Topper.
